You will not need to rent a car if you book one of the hotels within walking distance of campus. To get from the airport to campus and surrounding hotels you can take the Airport Express operated by Gray Line or take a taxi. Several taxi companies operate in Nashville; you can pick one up on Level 1 of the airport. Estimated cost of a taxi is $25 each way between the airport and the Vanderbilt area.

Most major rental car companies have rental counters at the airport if you do decide to rent a car. Note that parking on campus is difficult and is not free. The suggested hotels are within walking distance of campus.
