The collaboration dinner will be held Monday evening at
Dyer Observatory.
Buses are being provided to get you to Dyer, parking is very limited
and you are strongly discouraged from driving. Buses will leave
from the Vanderbilt University Club parking lot (a very short walk
from Featheringill Hall where the meeting will be held) starting at
5:30 pm.

showing the location of Featheringill and the University Club.
The dinner will be modeled on a very
successful series called
“Bluebird on the Mountain”
- a series of
concerts held every summer at Dyer.
As you might expect, Nashville has a rich pool of musical talent and
we will tap into this for the evening’s entertainment. The spectrum
of music in Nashville is much broader than country/western, and
the entertainment will reflect that.
Anyone who has spent an evening
at Nashville’s famous
Bluebird Cafe will have a good idea of what
is intended - great songwriters trying out songs, trading stories,
and connecting with the audience.
We have been fortunate enough to have booked four of Nashville's best songwriters/performers:
Thom Schuyler, Tony Arata, J. Fred Knobloch and Jelly Roll Johnson.
These men have written hits for performers such as Ray Charles, Faith Hill,
Gregg Allman, Etta James and Levon Helms. This quartet often performs together
at the Bluebird Cafe, and tickets for their performances always go fast.
